Dr. Carlos Gabuardi, Jur. Lic., LL.M., Ph.D., is a founding partner, practicing attorney, and a Professor of Law at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education.

He earned his Bachelor of Law from the University of Monterrey. He received his Master of Laws (LL.M.) with honors from Tulane University Law School, and he obtained his Doctor of Laws (Ph.D.) from the same institution. He is currently a member of the National Researchers System with Level 1 status and has written and published various articles in specialized legal journals in Mexico and abroad.

Dr. Gabuardi has a rich and diverse professional background, including roles as an attorney at the Legal Department of the World Bank in Washington, D.C., Corporate Legal Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Board of Directors at the Gamesa Group, Director of the Law Department at the University of Monterrey, Visiting Professor of Law at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, as well as involvement in planning committees and administration of programs related to transnational business law.

He has taught courses on topics such as Corporate Law, Commercial Companies, Comparative Law, International Private Law, and International Business Transactions.

Dr. Gabuardi’s legal practice focuses on Corporate Law, Contract Law, business advisory, as well as domestic and international litigation.

He is a member of the Mexican Bar Association, the College of Lawyers, the Neoleonesa Academy of Commercial Law, the National Association of Business Lawyers, and the Mexico-United States Bar, where he served as the Mexican Co-Chair of the Legal Education Committee. He is also the Co-Secretary General of the Group of 100 at the Center for Innovation, Development, and Legal Research for Latin America and Co-Secretary General of the Competition.

Dr. Gabuardi was the President of Province XXVIII of the International Legal Fraternity Phi Delta Phi, a member of the External Advisory Council of NAFTA: Law and Business Review of the Americas. He served on the Editorial Board of the National Section of the newspaper El Norte (Grupo Reforma). Currently, he represents the Monterrey Institute of Technology in the Justice Consortium of the Eurosocial Program of the European Union and is also the Co-Secretary and full member of the Group of 100 at the Center for Innovation, Development, and Legal Research for Latin America, Garrigues – Tec de Monterrey.
